Armor Dental Scan Mate is an isolation and retraction instrument used for intraoral scanning and any retraction needs. Offered in two versions - Black and Blue - Scan Mate Blue was developed to work with the Medit intraoral scanner. Medit’s blue colour technology makes the Scan Mate Blue invisible to the screen, creating the illusion of “invisible retraction.”
Scan Mate is autoclavable and non-reflective, and helps the clinician reduce scan time, is comfortable for the patient, and reduces scan cleanup afterwards.
Comfortable: Comfortable for patients and clinicians – No more fingers, mirrors, or other isolation products needed.
Non-reflective: Non-reflective device for enhanced scanning for a single restoration or a full arch.
Multiple Uses: Ideal for all intraoral scanning needs – Crowns, bridges, implants, and orthodontics.
Retraction: The ultimate retraction instrument for any dental procedure or exam. Similar in look to that of a standard dental mirror, but with a flexible neck and protective tip to accommodate the intended tissue retraction needs.
Reusable: Scan Mate can be autoclaved up to 30 cycles before replacement.
Safe: Latex free, and manufactured in the USA.
Cleaning, Sterilization and Use Instructions
Scan Mate is supplied NON-STERILE.

Before sterilization, instruments should be washed with an enzyme-based or similar detergent prior to packaging for sterilization.

Make sure that instruments are thoroughly dried prior to packaging for sterilization. Inspect device for visual damage, wear and tear or deterioration and discard broken, defective or worn-out products.

Sterilize by high-pressure steam before the first use and after every examination.

Sterilize and store in sterilize bag on bagged setting in autoclave.

Steam sterilize for at least 5 minutes at 273° F/134° C or at least 20 minutes at 250° F/121° C. Do not heat above 277° F/136° C. To avoid corrosion the steam has to be free of ingredients. After sterilization in the autoclave, please pay attention to the drying period INSIDE the Autoclave, do not take them out before drying period ends. Follow your autoclave manufacturer's instructions regarding drying time/cycle.

Clean and sterilize on bagged setting after every use.

Replace after 30 autoclave cycles. After 30 cycles, you will notice marginal consequences for Scan Mate but visual degradation appears after multiple autoclave cycles. Normally the end of durability of the product will be determined by visual degradation.
