Panavia™ Veneer LC is a light-cure, resin cement with excellent color stability, high wear resistance, provides ample working time, and offers fast and easy clean up. It is possible to reduce the time and effort involved in veneer placement with a cement that supports homogeneous cement application, smooth veneer positioning, easy excess removal, and quick polishing. Panavia™ Veneer LC offers all of these features, while giving the clinician all the control thanks to the nano cluster technology. Other benefits include:
- Non-sticky - the resin cement offers an excellent and ideal consistency for easy and secure application across the intaglio surface.
- Highly esthetic with gloss retaining cement margins.
- High bond strength with original MDP Monomer Indicated for permanent cementation of Veneers.
- Inlays and onlays with less than 2mm in thickness.*

Cementation of Laminate Veneers
Silica-Based Ceramics
Clean and dry the tooth surface in the usual manner.
1. As necessary, trial fit the Laminate Veneer using PANAVIA V5 Try-in Paste, wash and remove.
2.1. Apply hydrofluoric acid (HF), then rinse and dry.
2.2. Apply CLEARFIL CERAMIC PRIMER PLUS and dry.
3. Apply phosphoric acid (K-ETCHANT Syringe) to the enamel, leave for 10sec., rinse and dry
4. Choose either A or B:
4.A. PANAVIA V5 Tooth Primer
Apply PANAVIA V5 Tooth Primer, leave for 20 sec. and thoroughly dry with mild air.
4.B. CLEARFIL Universal Bond Quick 2
Apply CLEARFIL Universal Bond Quick 2 with rubbing motion. No waiting time. Then dry thoroughly until bond does not move (more than 5 sec.).
5. Dispense cement and place the Laminate Veneer.
6. Remove the excess cement using either method:
6.A. Tack-cure Clean-Up
6.A.1. Tack-cure for only 1 sec
6.A.2. Remove with a dental explorer.
6.B. Wet Clean-up.
Remove with a dental instrument.
7. Light-cure each area and margins. Refer to table. Then finish the restoration.

Cementation of Inlays/Onlays
Composite Resin
Note: Confirm the restoration thickness (<2mm)
Clean and dry the tooth surface in the usual manner.
1. As necessary, trial fit the Inlay/Onlay using PANAVIA V5 Try-in Paste, wash and remove.
2. Air abrade with alumina powder, then clean with ultrasonic cleaning.
3. Apply CLEARFIL CERAMIC PRIMER PLUS and dry.
4. Choose either A or B
4.A. PANAVIA V5 Tooth Primer
Apply PANAVIA V5 Tooth Primer, leave for 20 sec. and thoroughly dry with mild air.
4.B. CLEARFIL Universal Bond Quick 2
B.1. Tooth Pretreatment Choose either etching procedure.
B.1.A. Self-etching (Move to section B.2)
B.1.B. Selective-etching Apply K-ETCHANT Syringe to the uncut and /or cut enamel, then rinse and dry.
B.1.C. Total-etching
Apply K-ETCHANT Syringe to the entire cavity (enamel and dentin), then rinse and dry.
B.2. Apply CLEARFIL Universal Bond Quick 2 with rubbing motion. No waiting time. Then dry thoroughly until bond does not move (more than 5 sec.).
B.3. Light-cure the bond. Refer to table 1.
5. Dispense cement and place the Inlay/Onlay.
1. Remove the excess cement using either method.
A. Tack-cure Clean-Up
1. Tack-cure for only 1 sec.
2. Remove with a dental explorer.
B. Wet Clean-up
Remove with a dental instrument.
7. Light-cure each area and margins. Refer to table 2. Then finish the restoration.

Q: What is Panavia™ Veneer LC?
A: Panavia™ Veneer LC is a light-cure adhesive resin cement system. It consists of the Panavia™ Veneer LC Paste (a light-cure cement paste), CLEARFIL™ CERAMIC PRIMER PLUS (a silane, zirconia & metal primer), K-ETCHANT Syringe (Phosphoric Acid), and Panavia™ V5 Try-in Paste. CLEARFIL™ Universal Bond Quick or Panavia™ V5 Tooth Primer can be chosen for tooth treatment.
Q: How can I treat the prepared tooth?
A: There are 2 ways to treat the prepared tooth: with the Panavia™ V5 Tooth Primer or CLEARFIL™ Universal Bond Quick.
- Panavia™ V5 Tooth Primer: Etch the enamel with the K-ETCHANT (phosphoric acid) for 10 seconds, rinse and dry. Apply the Tooth Primer to the entire prepared tooth surface, with an applicator brush and leave it in place for 20 seconds. Thoroughly dry the entire adherent surface sufficiently by blowing mild, oil-free air until all water is evaporated from the primer.
- CLEARFIL™ Universal Bond Quick: Selective etch the enamel with K-ETCHANT syringe (phosphoric acid) for 10 seconds, rinse and dry. Apply BOND with a rubbing motion to the entire preparation with the applicator brush. No waiting time is required. Dry the entire cavity wall sufficiently by blowing mild air for more than 5 seconds until BOND does not move. When cementing laminate veneers, there is no need to light-cure BOND prior to seating the laminate veneers. It should be cured after seating the laminate veneers with the Panavia™ Veneer LC cement. When cementing inlays or onlays, BOND should be light-cured before seating the restoration. Please confirm the curing time by referencing the Instructions for Use.
Q: What are the advantages of Panavia™ Veneer LC over competing products?
A: Panavia™ Veneer LC offers the ideal paste consistency, not being too high or too low as several competitive products. This will facilitate the dispensing of the paste onto the restoration and smooth seating of such restoration. A low film thickness and long working time are also advantages over competitive products. In addition, in case of using it with the Panavia™ V5 Tooth Primer, the “touch-cure” mechanism will provide bonding interface sealing.
Q: How many shades of Panavia™ Veneer LC Paste are available?
A: There are 4 shades of Panavia™ Veneer LC Paste available: Clear, Universal (A2); White and Brown (A4). Each shade has a corresponding glycerin based, water soluble Try-In Paste.
Q: Is Panavia™ Veneer LC color stable?
A: Since Panavia™ Veneer LC Paste is only light curing, no amine reducing agent based redox curing system is included avoiding unwanted discoloration over time.
Q: What is the main filler form of Panavia™ Veneer LC?
A: Panavia™ Veneer LC Paste has spherical silica and nano cluster fillers. This provides a paste which is not runny, has excellent handling, and resistance to sagging.
Q: What is the film thickness of Panavia™ Veneer LC?
A: Panavia™ Veneer LC Paste film thickness is around 8 μm.
Q: Can Panavia™ Veneer LC be used to cement zirconia veneers and inlay's / onlay's?
A: Zirconia should not be used because it may not have sufficient translucency. However, zirconia of our products with high translucency (KATANA Zirconia STML/UTML, KATANA Zirconia Block STML) can be used with a thickness of less than 1.2 mm.
Q: How is the bond strength of Panavia™ Veneer LC?
A: Panavia™ Veneer LC has excellent bond strength to several substrates (e.g. enamel, dentin, lithium disilicate, KATANA™ Zirconia, feldspar ceramic) at a similar level to the acclaimed Panavia™ V5.
Q: Do CLEARFIL MAJESTY™ ES Flow and Panavia™ Veneer LC use the same application tips?
A: No, the Panavia™ Veneer LC Paste tips are specially designed for an easy extrusion and application and their gauge, which is 16 (1.65 mm in diameter) and differ from the CLEARFIL MAJESTY™ ES Flow ones.
Q: How do I store Panavia™ Veneer LC?
A: The product should be stored in the refrigerator. All components stored in the refrigerator should be brought to room temperature for 15 minutes before use in order to restore its normal viscosity and curing properties.
Q: What is the shelf-life of the Panavia™ Veneer LC components?
A: The shelf-life of Panavia™ Veneer LC components is 36 months from date of manufacture with refrigeration.
